About BookMediFly
A family-founded software platform that brings structure and clarity to fixed-wing medical transport quote requests.
Meet the Founders
BookMediFly was built by family with two complementary perspectives: healthcare experience and operational discipline. Michael Fancher brings the healthcare lens. Steve McCann brings the logistics, protection, and complex operations lens. Together, they built BookMediFly to make fixed-wing medical transport quote requests more organized, accessible, and easier to compare.
Michael Fancher
Co-Founder
Michael Fancher brings years of healthcare experience to BookMediFly, shaped by a background in physical therapy, healthcare operations, and leadership across complex care environments. His perspective is grounded in the realities families, hospitals, case managers, and discharge teams face when a patient needs coordinated medical transport.
Michael helped shape BookMediFly around a practical problem: the air medical transport quote process is often fragmented and difficult to compare, leaving families and care teams making repeated calls and waiting on callbacks with limited visibility. BookMediFly was built to make that process more organized, accessible, and transparent — keeping the focus on helping people make informed decisions during a stressful time.
Steve McCann
Co-Founder
Steve McCann brings an operational discipline background shaped by more than 15 years in federal law enforcement, protective operations, investigations, and logistics. His federal service included prior service as a Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service, where he supported protective, investigative, and operational assignments in the United States and abroad.
That background shaped Steve's approach to coordination: timing matters, details matter, communication matters, and accountability matters. BookMediFly was built with that same operational mindset, helping families and care teams organize fixed-wing medical transport quote requests more efficiently and with greater clarity.
Steve's prior government service is provided for biographical context only. BookMediFly is a private software platform and is not sponsored, approved, or endorsed by the U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Postal Service, Department of Homeland Security, or any federal agency.
Our Standard
BookMediFly was built with a white-glove coordination mindset: clear information, careful handling of sensitive details, organized communication, and respect for the seriousness of every transport request.
We do not operate aircraft, provide medical care, or arrange transport directly. Instead, BookMediFly gives families, hospitals, and care teams a more organized way to request and compare quotes from FAA Part 135 certified fixed-wing medical transport providers.
Family-Founded, Built for Serious Coordination
BookMediFly was built by cousins who share more than a business relationship — years of trust, shared family values, and a belief that complicated systems should be made easier for the people who depend on them. Michael brings the healthcare perspective; Steve brings the operational and logistics perspective. Together they built BookMediFly to bring more structure, clarity, and confidence to fixed-wing medical transport quote requests.
